About this fire
The Zendure SolarFlow 2400 Pro is an all-in-one balcony solar battery with 2.4 kWh of built-in capacity, four independent MPPT inputs and an off-grid output for backup power. It stores surplus solar during the day and releases it in the evening, and it can be expanded in stages as your demand grows.
- 2.4 kWh built in, expandable to 16.8 kWh → start with what you need today and stack up to five AB3000L batteries (2.88 kWh each) later, ready for heavier loads such as EV charging or a heat pump.
- Four MPPT inputs, up to 3000 W of solar (4 × 750 W) at 18 A each → supports most mainstream PV modules and converts up to 99.9% of the available input, so panels facing different directions still perform.
- Off-grid output rated 2400 W, 3600 W peak (200 ms), with EPS → when the unit detects a power cut it switches connected loads over to battery automatically.
- ZENKI™ 2.0 forecasting and tariff-based scheduling → learns your usage patterns and forecasts both solar yield and electricity prices, charging when power is cheap and discharging at peak times.
- Battery self-heating below 0°C and IP65-rated design → safe charging and discharging through winter, indoors or in a sheltered outdoor position.
- Dual-shield BMS and aerosol fire-suppression system → a local BMS monitors key parameters in real time, with a cloud layer for periodic health analysis, and the built-in aerosol system suppresses an incident if abnormal heat or a short circuit is detected.
- 10-year warranty, 15-year design life, LiFePO4 cells → long-term reliability with no early replacement costs.
Smart metering and home energy management: works with the Zendure Smart Meter 3CT and D0/P1, Shelly Pro 3EM, Shelly 3EM and EverHome EcoTracker for automatic, 1-watt-level output matching, so generation follows household demand and export losses are avoided. MQTT support means it integrates with Home Assistant, Homey and similar platforms, and the HEMS layer brings PV, storage, grid and household loads together in one view.
Installation: plug & play in four steps – stack the main unit on the battery, connect the panels via MC4, plug the AC cable into a socket, connect the smart CT over RJ45 and activate in the app. Allow at least 15 cm of clearance above the unit and 5 cm behind it for ventilation, keep it out of direct sun and rain, and site it within Wi-Fi range on a firm, stable surface. Always follow local electrical regulations and check the connection requirements that apply where you live before installing.
Questions about buying a fire
Can I use this in a smoke control area?
Only if the appliance is DEFRA approved — look for the DEFRA mark on this page. Under the Clean Air Act most UK towns and cities are smoke control areas, where you may burn smokeless fuel, or wood in an appliance DEFRA has exempted. Burning wood in a non-exempt stove in one of those areas can carry a penalty from your local authority. Gas, electric and bioethanol fires are not affected by smoke control rules.
What size stove (kW) do I need for my room?
As a rough guide, measure the room in metres, multiply length × width × height and divide by 14. A 5m × 4m room with a 2.4m ceiling gives about 3.4kW. Most British living rooms land between 4kW and 6kW. Oversizing is the common mistake — a stove run too cool tars up the flue and blackens the glass. Well-insulated or new-build homes should size down; a draughty solid-wall cottage should size up.
Who installs it?
You do, or an installer you appoint — we supply the appliance only and do not offer or arrange installation. A solid fuel appliance must be installed to Building Regulations Document J and signed off; a registered installer (HETAS or equivalent) can self-certify, otherwise you must notify building control before work begins. Gas appliances must by law be fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Bioethanol and electric fires need no flue and no notifiable work.
What flue or liner will it need?
That depends on the appliance and on your chimney, so have your installer confirm it before you order. As a general picture: into an existing masonry chimney a stove normally needs a flexible stainless liner sized to its flue outlet; with no chimney, a twin-wall insulated system can be run internally or up an external wall; a balanced-flue gas fire needs only an external wall; and bioethanol needs no flue at all, only adequate room ventilation.
How will it be delivered?
Boxed on a pallet, kerbside, on a tail-lift vehicle to the nearest hard standing — free to UK mainland on orders over £500. Stoves are heavy, so have two able people ready to move it from the kerb. Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland run on a longer schedule with any surcharge quoted at checkout.
What about warranty and spare parts?
Everything we sell is new, genuine UK stock and carries its manufacturer's warranty, which you register with the manufacturer after installation. Wearing parts such as rope seals, glass, baffles and grates are consumables and are not covered by warranty — we can supply them for the models we stock.
